However, there are some niche applications where these coupling agents provide some beneﬁt other than mechanical property increases. Typically, PPgAA polypropylene is preferred over PPgMAH in mineral-ﬁlled systems. 2 REVIEW OF COUPLING AGENTS There are many types of chemical coupling agents used in the production of polypropylene composites. A coupling agent by deﬁnition is a substance that couples or bonds the ﬁller to the polymer matrix .
